Kontainer bags are beautiful leather ladies designed with the philosophy of craftsmanship, solid quality and the use of the best possible materials. When you invest in a Kontainer, we want you to enjoy her for years to come.
Daily use of your Kontainer, with all the associated “excess weight”, wear and tear on leather and metal parts, will naturally put her to the test. She always does her best to live up to her name, but sometimes a metal part breaks, a seam unravels, or she just needs a “refresh” (especially if she’s a suede lady).
Too bad it always happens after the two-year warranty period according to Danish Law. Then you’re left with an often expensive and difficult repair and may not know where to go with her.
That’s why we offer to repair your Kontainer for free as part of our customer service. If you pay and ship your Kontainer to us; all labour, material consumption and shipping back to you will be on us. We repair in our own small in-house workshop, where we can handle most things.
We design every Container from scratch, so we know how she’s constructed and sewn together from the ground up. We have most threading colours and loose parts in stock to replace with new if needed.

We’re happy to make the repair, so you can rest easy knowing that we’re doing everything we can to give your Kontainer the longest possible lifespan. It’s great for you, great for the environment and, not least, great for us.
Our ambition is to create the most durable Kontainers – also in the long term. By learning about repairs, we get to know our Kontainers even better. We always test the ladies before sending them out into the world. However, some repairs take years to discover. Therefore, it’s definitely useful for us to know in order to develop products in the future and continuously learn more.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR KONTAINER NEEDS FIXING
AGE IS NO BARRIER
Just send us an email at info@kontainercopenhagen.dk with a few pictures and words. We’ll get back to you quickly with an assessment of what it takes and whether it can be done properly.
Often it can be fixed with minor doings and you are welcome to ship us your Kontainer (free return currently only applies to shipping within DK). We will cover shipping back to you again. However, always make contact to us beforehand to get a pre-approval.
We’ll repair her as soon as possible, but expect a two-week repair time before she’s back in your hands + shipping.

The fine print
The age of your Kontainer is no obstacle. Even if the 2-year warranty according to Danish law has expired.
However, the offer should be seen as a special customer service and not an extended warranty. We repair most things and have seen a little bit of everything, but severe or prolonged wear and tear and neglect can mean that we simply aren’t able to repair to a good result.
We make reservations for missing spare parts that may have been discontinued. However, we can often find an alternative that can be used.
Shipping to us (from outside of DK) is on you. Returning the Kontainer again to you we will cover.
